We are proud to present our second release on Knife Skills; DJ Koncept EGO DEF EP

4 experimental hip hop/trip hop/turntablist style beats. Each have heavy breakbeats, bass and scratching and are also quite deep and melodic.

Ego death is a "complete loss of subjective self-identity" due to the use of psychedelics.

1.One time for your mind: This eases the listener into the trip, the focus is on the beats, heavy bass and cuts!

2.Do the knowledge: Quite a melodic, chilled out track with less cuts and more about the musical elements. "You do the knowledge, but you still don't know the math".

3.Roll with the flava: This track represents the battle with the loss of ego, this is the self-surrender phase. It's got a darker vibe than the other beats on the EP.

4.Endless Flow: Ends the EP with a positive message, the ego death has happened and it's now about reinvention and the mysterious endless flow of music. This is a more uptempo track than the others which is also very musical.
